Job description for Trainers
GTG trainers design and teach finance, accountancy, skills and management courses to clients from different backgrounds and with different levels of ability. Generally we deliver in house training programmes internally at larger organisations (eg MNCs or outsourcing companies) or run open courses to groups of individual students.
As a GTG trainer you could teach courses ranging from financial reporting eg IFRS, consolidation of financial statements, performance management (don’t worry – full training is given!) or skills management eg how to present effective financial reports. If you work within a company, you may deliver bespoke in-house training, for example, training accounts staff on a new accounts payable system.
In most cases, your duties would include:
assessing clients' training needs and agreeing learning outcomes

designing new programmes or customising existing courses to meet those outcomes

preparing the learning environment and resources

delivering programmes to clients

evaluating the effectiveness of the training

keeping administrative records up to date.
What qualifications and experience do we look for?
Generally you need to be ICAI, ICWA or professionally qualified (international certifications eg ACCA, CIMA an advantage). In exceptional circumstances, we make take MBAs. You should have between 3-8 years work experience, so you can draw on your experiences when writing or teaching materials.
